Su Kefei（October 31, 1961 -----now）

Mr Su Kefei is born in Tianmen, Hubei province on 31st Oct.1961, awarding as senior horticulturalist, renowned landscape architect. He with his team designed and constructed lots of famous large-scale outdoor landscape projects (which he called “earth art”) in the last decades. The master pieces includes “ OCT East Resort Front Square ”, “ OCT East Resort Interlaken Hotel”, “OCT East Resort Multifunction Theater”, “OCT East Resort Hayfield Town”, “Tea Stream Valley Ecological Greenhouse”, "Singapore Resorts World’’, "Shenzhen Longgang Purple Kylin Hill Landscape", “Hakka Park Scenic Spot”, "Huangshan Xin’an Jiang River Landscape" and so on.

Mr Su Kefei’s major bonsai art works includes "Thousands Miles of Yangtze River", "Huangshan Mountains", "Trinidad Rivers and Mountains", "Dawn Fog of Lijiang River", "Taoyuan Fairyland", "Four Seasons scenic", "Zhongnan Mountains Recluse", "Benevolent Enjoying Mountains ", " Cave Paradise ", " Old Road ", " Pute Stream ", “Soaring "and so on.

His famous large-scale outdoor landscape design and construction artwork includes "Front square of OCT East Resort", "OCT East Resort Interlaken Hotel", "OCT East Resort Multifunction Theater", “OCT East Resort Hayfield Town”, “Tea Stream Valley Ecological Greenhouse”, "Singapore Resorts World”, "Shenzhen Longgang Purple Kylin Hill Landscape", “Hakka Park Scenic Spot”, "Huangshan Xin’an Jiang River landscape" and so on.

In 1960s, Mr Su Kefei was born in an ordinary family in Tianmen Hubei province where is on the bank of Yangtze River. He did not has many learning opportunities and was not well educated in his childhood time because he was born in a time when the famous activity  Cultural Revolution activities was on-going. However, the turmoil time did not affect his desire for knowledge. At the age of 9 years old, Mr Su Kefei started to learn painting by imitating a famous painting book named "Catalog of Chinese Painting". Since then, He tied his destiny on the art of landscape. With increasing knowledge and experience on art, Mr Su Kefei was clearly aware of that there were lots of good players in the art world. With out a formal education, it would be difficult for him to make a difference and may be just a waste of time if he continue his interest on this field. At the age of 14 years old, he discovered the tight relevance between painting and sculpture on veins of deadwood. then he shift his interest on traditional bonsai art which takes kutsuki as a raw material. In1982, under the support of great artist Shi Jie Wang, Mr Su Kefei held his individual exhibition in Wuhan. It was a successful exhibition and caught great attention from experts and medias in Hubei Province. He then successfully entered the bonsai art circles. In 1983, he transferred his focus on some larger modern bonsai art. After three years of hard work, in 1986, he achieved his masterpiece "Thousands Miles of Yangtze River" -- a 50 meters long Chinese modern bonsai work made of kutsuki material. This art work won the first prize in both the second Bonsai Exhibition in Wuhan city and The First National Flower Expo later. Mr Su Kefei was met by Wan Li, Chen Muhua and other big persons in this field. Mr Zhang Aiping even has made a inscription for this work -- " To walk around Yangtze River you only need several steps."  From then for a long period, Mr Su Kefei put all his efforts on bonsai art. However, he still found the modern bonsai art has limited performance space later. He then initiated a concept of "Earth Art". What he means was to put the bonsai artwork in a more larger space where it could be taken as public art. He wanted to transfer the traditional small bonsai art into bigger commercial public art and could make mass production as industry. In 1989, Mr Su Kefei had his fourth artistic turning point in his life. He arrived at Shenzhen with the dream of the “Earth Art” and he met a good business environment at that time . In 1995, he established his own company-- Shenzhen Hill & Moon Park Gardening Co,. Ltd.. At the same time he registered his own brand "Su Landscape" and start his business of large scale outdoor artificial landscape. In 2003, Mr Su Kefei purchased Zhaoqing General Mountain scenic spot which he could have 50 years Franchise. Since then, he focus most of his creative energy on stone culture theme park.

Asavkhata dhatu, anattan-attaniya, lhitachi, modesty, stoicism, nature are Su Landscape’s  main concept of design. It has inherited Chinese traditional horticulture art essence. By the influence of Taoism, Su Landscape advocates stoicism and emphasizes heaven-man unity. In actual practice, Su Landscape pursues the harmonious integration between the artificial landscape and natural surroundings. Su Landscape’s bonsai art reflect philosophy of "still waters run deep"and “casual and ebullience” and emphasize the spirit of natural. Its task is to refine the original environment and achieve high harmony between the building and surrounding environment.
